According to the Vedic Calendar which is based on the lunar cycle, the month of 'Chaitra' (April) heralds the beginning of the New Year at the close of the austerities of winter and just when nature and creation are again opening up to all the new possibilities of spring.

As per the Vedic calendar the 9 days of the Divine Mother - the Navaratri Festival concluding on the 10th day with Lord Ram's victory over evil Ravana on Dushera. Special celebrations at Maitreyi also from Oct 3rd to 11th Oct 2016.
The Ideal season for Panchakarma is from June to September, according to the Ashta Vaidya tradition. Monsoon is the best time for Panchakarma as the doshas in the body are more receptive to treatments which aim at the best possible balance for body, mind and soul.
